There is no direct biomedical evidence that the new UK strain is in fact metabolically more infectious, all they are going on is the epidemiology and the official docs on that make it clear that they don't know the cause while admitting that it may simply be the behaviour of the people who got infected and the time of year etc..

The side of politics does not seem to matter, what you really have is the ruling classes, the political 1% or whatever, who are destroying the lives of the 99%, except the ration is more like 0.001%... The only question is, is it simple incompetence or do they have an agenda, and if so is lit malicious or simply misguided?

@cadaeishere8242 Is science the problem or the (political) people who misuse and misunderstand complex and conditional findings then make absolutist statements and pronouncements? If anything politics is harming science really badly of late and it is not just covid-19 but also a whole range of controversial and politicized topics.

@pearlofqatar7779 The problem is that science has been politicized from within too, the university faculties practice political discrimination, they have for decades.

Tom Jones The problem is they are both very broad and open to interpretation or manipulation. The CO2 assumptions are not founded on solid science either, but the bit about climate resilience is OK, but not if you pin that to CO2 because then you are just setting yourself up to fail. All of the UN aspirations hinge on things they have little or no control over, such as the advent of commercial fusion energy that is affordable by all nations of the world. Basically you could just ignore those agendas and push economic and technological growth and you'd get most of the positive outcomes they claim to want anyway. The problem is when their mandates and actions seem to do the reverse and suppress the required progress and growth.
