No need to be paranoid about this, if you are an adult you should be able to find out how to protect your privacy as there is no shortage of online advice r.e. that subject. On the other hand kids do need to be protected, and parent's rights to limit access must be respected, but all other adults have a right to freely use the internet for anything that is legally permissible, regardless of your moral or ethical opinion of that activity. The argument that the system may not be perfect and that some kids could get around it is a distraction, if it protects 99.99% of kids it is a lot better than nothing. Any adult that has privacy concerns can use a VPN service with a gateway in a non-participating jurisdiction to access whatever they like. It is far better to limit the access that children have than it is to block the access of adults to services that are otherwise lawful for adults to use.
