Vic pol allowed themselves to be used unethically against the people, so what happened was no surprise and it could have been a hell of a lot worse, therefore if they want "more protection" they should also exhibit higher standards of conduct, and stop getting on camera brutalising grandmothers in the street. Their actions undermined public confidence in their integrity. They could all be wearing full riot gear and it would not change the outcome if they allow themselves to be used as a tool of tyranny again, it would simply cause an arms race, when wiser heads would be looking at how to de-escalate such confrontations as the first option. If the people of Victoria want their police to be safer they should throw out the Labor government and not let Labor near power again until there is an ideological shift in the party toward a more humane and less dictatorial approach to problem solving.

@bogan-slayer7469 None of what you claim is true and relevant because in comparison QLD Police are a superior force, and lead the way when it comes to integrity and operational competence, despite the fact that they are also controlled by a Labor government, so clearly it is the Victorian Labor government, and the police there that make all the difference. It is those facts that explain why literally tens of thousands of genuinely hard working Victorians (unlike yourself, you bloated parasite) have fled the state in recent years and are now contributing to the social and economic boom that QLD is experiencing. All your rant achieved was to demonstrate how delusional you are, yet again.
