If you want people to die to protect your interests you may want to consider having more respect for them, as well as their civil and human rights. After what the media and the political elite did to the general public over the last few years I am not at all surprised by how people feel, betrayed and demoralised, so abused by their own motherland that they have lost all love for her. There is only one way to fix that in a modern world where your propaganda is only partly effective, you have to give people a genuine sense of pride in and love for their country by giving them a good life that is open and free, where corrupt politicians get punished and the media is held accountable for their lies.
