  2. It is hype, China can't win a war, and best it can make sure everyone else also doesn't win, and then they would have no customers, if any of their own people survived to make stuff to sell. There is nothing China can't achieve just by ignoring the world and heading off out into the universe. They are not stupid and know they can only expand upward without risking their own destruction.
