The IMF may be correct at times, but that does not mean that sovereign governments should ever trust their judgement or motives, rather our goverment needs to act based entirely on what it knows and understands about our economy and its interaction with the economies of our major trading partners. All this has to come out of mathematical models that are never 100% capable of predicting the future and which diverge from reality rapidly as you look further out into the future. The other factor that even influences shorter term forecasts is volatility which is very high at the moment. It is like shooting at a target bobbing up and down on the waves, at times it is relatively easy as the movement is simple, but when things get choppy and chaotic you can't tell the direction or magnitude shifts easily at increasingly shorter time scales.

This is a generic reply that both sides of politics use at different times and it is actually really subjective, which is why I mention it as it highlights the nature of your comment too. Jack you have a certain way with words (and twists of logic) and while you continue to hang out with the mormons here it makes you feel like a genius, after all it is relative, but you need to understand that others are watching you and they see right through you.
