They were useless when the Iranians attacked the Saudi Oil infrastructure with slow flying cruise missiles that were an old Russian design from the 1970's that had been updated, pretty low tech and cheap. The economics just don't work in many scenarios, they are fine if you want a fixed installation protecting a potential ballistic missile target, but they are useless against a swarm of weapons that only costs tens of thousands of dollars each.

@GBK123 The chance of it being in the right place at the right time and getting used effectively are very low in Australia.

And don't ask me publicly for exact details, that would be irresponsible. I suggest that you give your imagination some room to move and you will work out what is possible easily enough.
