What about a peltier cooler with the RPi controlling the power via PWM over the GPIO, other than the cooler you should only need an N-Channel MOSFET and a resistor. That way you have active cooling that is proportional to the CPU load. It would fit under that big heatsink you have.

+Anvilshock Nonsense, for one the COP depends on the DT, power input and the device characteristics, so given we are talking about a low DT, as far as what these units can do, the COP is much better than you suggest. In fact it is idiotic to make the sort of sweeping claim that you did as it just suggests that you actually have no idea how they work. https://www.maximintegrated.com/en/app-notes/index.mvp/id/1757 <-- is this enough science for you?

COP can be over 2 but even at 0.85 is still a hell of a lot better than your idiotic claim of 0.05. Your claim about TEC performance was 1 dimensional when the truth is that their behaviour is described by a set of parametric curves. i.e. The behaviour of TEC devices is described by a three dimensional surface where the optimal set of variables is a peak and the worst choice is a valley. So if you still don't get that go away and do some research for yourself, and stop acting like a complete fool.

Anvilshock You know that first link did have a graph that showed exactly that. Lay off the trolling, you aren't intelligent enough to do it well enough for it to be entertaining.

Ahahaa sure you are not a troll, nobody is really that stupid, so you are a troll. However, just in case you are a genuine idiot, go and read up on C.O.P. and the units for heat, and electrical power. You do know what COP is?

Anvilshock So, you really are a genuine idiot? The article has a graph that shows the COP, it is the same thing. A COP of 1.0 is the same as 100%. How about you just assume you have no idea what you are talking about next time and then go and find whatever information suits you perverted little mind rather than wasting other people's time?

Does the BIOS allow for netbooting?
