@arantzavzc if they were actually men or actually women they would not need to add the word trans to it. They would just own it. Why give that definiton? It's worthless. Obviously there is a difference between a trans man and a real man. Otherwise they wouldn't say that.

@alienbungus yes. You're exactly right. It is gender dysphoria. It's a diagnosed condition. It wouldn't be in the DSM if it wasn't a treatable problem. It's like anorexia. It's a condition that people need help with. It's not something to be praised or celebrated. It needs to be treated and fixed.

@Sebnek1236 No. You're wrong. Zero difference between sex and gender. 100% the same thing. To say that education is not accurate now is to throw out all education. Why would we even teach anything in school if that's the case? Is math not accurate anymore? Does 2+2 not equal 4? Of course it does. Is a noun not a noun? Is an F sharp not and F sharp in music? Of course it is. Why would a man and woman change? A hundred years ago a man was a man and still today a man is a man. Just like a billion years ago. I am happy you at least admit you are sexually female. I appreciate at least that honesty from you. That's at least getting closer to the truth. But really all you're saying then is that you're a female who acts and wants to be male. Because you're admitting at the end of the day you will never actually be a male. And that's accurate. Look. You can dress, act, talk like, and want to be a dude all day long, but you will forever be a female. Whether you call it sex or gender doesn't really matter as long as you admit you're still a female. Because that's the truth.

@emilyryan8284 someone can identify with any gender they want to. That does not change their actual biological gender and sex. Nobody was born into the wrong body. They THINK they are in the wrong body. That's why it's a diagnosable condition in the DSM. it's a condition that needs to be treated. Stop acting like I need more understanding. You need more education. Stay in school. A man is a man and a woman is a woman. That cannot change.

@femmesapphic430 who cares if it doesn't hurt someone. There are lots of things that are wrong that don't "hurt anybody." Masturbation doesn't "hurt" anybody. Does that make it ok? Do we teach out children that they should masturbate? That it's a good thing? Who cares if transgenderism doesn't "hurt" anyone? My point is if you're a male you're a male. It's untruthful to say otherwise.

@alienbungus yeah because depression and anxiety have nothing to do with the brain right? What are you talking about? Stop acting like being trans is unalterable and unchangeable and there's nothing you can do. Many many people who grow up with gender dysphoria grow out of it. Children who don't know life or sex or gender are confused. Of course. Kids are confused in general. That does not change their sex and we should not enable that. It's child abuse.and irresponsible.

@ramywiles I am certainly not invalidating the person's experiences. I don't doubt they are experiencing it. That doesn't mean it's accurate or good. It just means it's happening. But men are men and women are women. That doesn't change. Just because you're confused about your gender doesn't mean your gender isn't a fact. That's why it's important to get them help and show them the reality of the situation instead of enabling it and acting like it's normal and ok.

@emilyryan8284 it actually is pretty dangerous. Why are suicide rates so high? And why else would it be in the DSM? It is a mental disorder. It's a problem thinking you're a man when you're a woman. That's called delusional. That's like me thinking I'm Asian or I'm a celebrity or anything I am that I'm not. There are problems with that. It's extremely unhealthy and dangerous.

@alienbungus yeah because anytime a child thinks something we should believe it and do it right? When they say they want a phone we give it to them right? When they want a car we give it to them. When they want candy we give it to them. When they want to stay home from school and do drugs we let them do it right? @alienbungus it's definitely a fad. Why else would it be so prevalent recently far more than any other time previously? Why the sudden spike in transgenders? It has nothing to do with wife dissemination of information like YouTube and Instagram does it? Not a dang thing.

@missy2194 no I wouldn't because I can find more studies stating the exact opposite truth. That transgenders are not happier and suicide rates do not decrease after transitioning. So would you deny that truth as well as men are men and women are women? Also transitioning still does not make that man a women even IF it does make them happier.

@MaTeiso4 that would be between the parents and the doctors and is extremely rare. That is a completely different topic than transgenders when there is a clear gender at birth. Nice try though. Intersex is not a mental disorder. It's a medical anomoly.

Krista Star my point is that if he is in fact a man like everyone claims, why does he have to ad a trans man? Why can't he just say man? There's obviously a distinction between a man and a trans man otherwise why would he say that? And if there is a distinction then then there is a difference between a trans man and a real man. If if there is a difference that means he's not actually a man like everyone claims. Therefore he is actually a woman which every cell in his entire body testifies to. He can't actually be a man.

@Mumzel I actually did answer that question but it looks like YouTube took it down because they're afraid of free speech or something. If I passed him on the street I would probably think, that's not a dude, that's a chick. The moment a trans person moves or talks it's almost always immediately noticeable that they're the opposite gender. If it's a picture of someone I sometimes can't notice. But the moment they move or talk it's completely obvious. Every single time. Why is that? Men and women are inherently different. And it's clear. That's why it's so strange to me that they act like that's not their gender. It will always be their gender no matter what they do, how they act, or what surgeries you get. You cannot change your gender. It's not a thing. It's not real. It's like making an apple tree an orange tree. It's basic biology and science. Organisms have defining characteristics for a reason. Distinguishing features. Men and women are not excluded from that reality. It does not matter what people want or what they think. It's like someone trying to convince me gravity falls up instead of down. Nope. Not a thing. You cannot change that. You cannot change the makeup of the sun moon or stars. You cannot change the biological makeup of human beings. You can try and pretend all day but it is not real.

Yes there are societal influences and roles regarding gender but someone is male or female biologically. This is a fundamental key truth to reality that does not change. Just like women menstruate. Or men ejaculate semen. Or women ovulate. Or women bare children. These truths don't change. They are inherently human. You cannot change reality. Gravity is gravity and will always be gravity. It doesn't matter if you don't think it exists. It does and always will.

What would this African male have to do to be considered a woman as you claim? Since apparently they can be both at the same time since gender and sex are unique to each other..

@jamescunningham.8294 The treatment is highly debated and controversial within the medical community. Don't act like there's a consensus of how to treat gender dysphoria. Medical professionals have many differing opinions on the subject just like many medical procedures. There are differing viewpoints. To act like transition surgery is the one and only treatment and widely accepted is misleading to say the least.

@jamescunningham.8294 yes it is an option. There are many options in the medical field. Not all medical professionals agree on procedures diagnostics and treatments. There is rarely one size fits all with medical procedures. For example, someone gets ovarian cancer. Do you know how many treatments could be recommend? It's almost entirely on an individual basis. Radiation, chemo, surgery, a combination of any of these. Not to mention the various drugs within each of those options. Medicine is tricky business. It's not always clear cut in many ways.

@Sebnek1236 Yes you just said it. Gravity always existed. That's my point. It doesn't matter how someone understands it or defines it. Gravity always exists in its same unaltered state. It is independent of someone's definiton or understanding of it. That is the definition of truth. The same goes for sex and gender. Everything under the umbrella of biology falls under this definition. That sex produces offspring. Basic fundamental truth. That does not change. Two genders are essential in that truth. It does not work any other way. It never will. Flowers are pollinated by bees. Never thought I'd have to explain the birds and the bees to adults. And that people would discredit this reality. It's not complicated. Of course a woman who is infertile is still a woman. It's not that she can menstruate or not. It's that under normal conditions she will. Obviously that's a medical condition if she's not. It's an abnormality. A man however can never menstruate. He doesn't have the organs to. He cannot get pregnant.

@Sebnek1236 all you're talking about is cultural differences. That has nothing to do with sex. Yes gender roles may change depending on geography. That too does not affect what gender they are. A man is a man and a woman is a woman regardless of who hunts the food, who goes to work, or who stays home and takes care of the kids. You're talking about gender roles. But you can't talk about their roles if you can't even distinguish between genders. Male and female. If you wanna talk about what women do in different societies go for it, but they are still females. It's like you're erasing the reality of gender distinctions. I keep repeating this but it's like trying to say there's not much difference between an apple and an orange. Kind of. But there kind of is. In fact they're completely different and always will be. Things are created differently for a reason. Stop ignoring that. Things are just different. Including men and women. I feel like this is a lesson for 4 year olds. Isn't this what we teach children? Now I'm talking to adults about this basic truth.

@emilyryan8284 respectfully I disagree. Absolutely humans are complex, like most living organisms. Extremely complex. And yet we're not so different from other living organisms. At the end of the day, we're just part of the natural world like everything else. Kind of helpless too. Everyone is born. Everyone dies. That's the natural process. People have lived for who knows how many years. People were born then just like they're born now. Humans tend to overcomplicate everything and it bothers me. Life's extremely complicated and extremely simple at the same time. It's a natural process. we're not in control of that. We didn't decide the speed of the earth or the location of the sun. We didn't decide when we were born or where or to who. We don't decide when we die (for the most part). We're like animals in a sense. Much of life happens out of our control. It was the plan of some Divine creator that men and women are unique, they have individual roles and abilities, they are distinct and perfom specific functions and they create children in a specific way, similar to almost every other living organism. That's not by chance. That's not random. It's a powerful truth that people can't just wake up one day and decide that's not real.

@alienbungus You clearly are arguing about basic biology if you think gender and sex are different. If you think a man can become a woman then we're arguing about basic biology. There is no such thing as a "biologically male brain." There's no such thing as a male or female brain. Its a brain that is in a biological male or a biological female. You may feel like the opposite sex. You may think like the opposite sex. But you are in fact not the opposite sex. It doesn't help to continue to pretend like you are.

You throw out a hypothetical situation of me passing him on the street and then say that's not how I would act in said hypothetical situation. Ok. Neither of us know I guess. All I know is this: I can't remember the last time I saw a transexual when I didn't have a pretty good idea they were trans. Just because someone dresses or acts like the opposite sex doesn't make them noticeably the other sex. It's almost always obvious they're not because of the clear gender distinctions between men and women. Sorry. Not my fault they act differently. Sorry if it offends you that I think you look like a guy.

@emilyryan8284 Sure a penis could have meant anything a billion years ago. But reason suggests it meant then what it means now. It's impossible to really know so you don't really have any right to say it meant X any more than I can say it meant Y. The most important thing you said is what they FEEL. Feeling like you are something does not actually make you something. Sorry. I could feel like I'm a lot of things. That doesn't make it true. Truth is independent of feelings. I could feel like I'm deathly overweight so I starve myself. It's not true though. It's dangerous to base reality on what you feel. I'm not invalidating their feelings. They probably do feel that way. So what? They need help sorting out their feelings not mutilating their body. What an extreme solution to a problem. I may feel the desire to cut myself or commit suicide too. Does that mean I should? No.
