@viceralman8450 That's why fin rounds are used. HESH is a useful tool against lighter armoured vehicles, buildings, bunkers etc.

Because the Chieftain and Chally 1 had the same system so the Gov't kept it to save money.........
2
Durandal_X There are quite a few errors in the vid. Obviously the tank expert didn't spot them..............

@viceralman8450 Please, please don't try to educate me on C2 tanks. That is all I'm prepared to say.
2
@nothingspecial6925 You think the British Army tech heads haven't fired modern anti armour missiles at a C2 to see how it stands up?
2
It was verified by the British Army and Vickers defence systems at the time. Research the info, it's all out there.
2
@regigashi9226 There is plenty of information about it, including several documentaries, the British army, Vickers Defence Systems Janes, etc. Just try looking instead of being a lazy bastard.

There is no "latest variant". The Megatron 75 ton tank is a test bed vehicle that is not used in active service. Mission prepared Challys have armour arrays configured to the type of theatre they will be fighting in.

Some good information in these vids but lots of mistakes and the standard of spoken English is abysmal.
1
It was hit by a MILAN in the second Gulf war. That was the tank that was back in service six hours later..............
1
@nothingspecial6925 Yes and ATDU will have held "fire at" trials of most modern ATGM's against Dorchester armour, know all. THAT'S how the British Army works.
1
There is a certain amount on top of the turret but covering the whole top of the tank would be impossible.
