@fonkamex agreed. He's all about his bass mates, name dropping and selling merchandise now. A bit of a sell out.

@orcaflotta7867 Check out Axis of Awesome, "four chord song formula".

@DavidLazarus It's in Seven Days and O my God.

Totally agree Alex. We consume music like we consume baked beans now.We used to take part in the creative process through education, church and community choirs etc.

All popular songs tend to work to a formula. If you a musician and understand chord structure/ harmony , you can work most pop songs out pretty quickly.

@InceyWincey Or Madonna, GaGa, Ronstadt, Mitchell, King, Bush, Bjork, Harry, Chapman...........

The keyboard part caused the biggest arguments in the recording process. Sting invited the piano player along without telling Andy and Stewart who were livid with him for bringing in an "outsider" to contribute. Read Summers bio."one train later" . It's a fascinating read.

@mattjohn4731 Yes.

I'd suggest that The Bed's Too Big is the most reggaefied track on Regatta by a country mile....................

"See that man, he's such a lucky guy, He's got it made and here's the reason why; He's the man whose, walking in my shoes Not long ago, that girl he's holding tight, was in my arms , loving me day and night, now she loves the man whose, walking in my shoes."

@Umidjon Zaribov Windows ten is bloody awful!

You must be a musician and you are spot on in your observation. In the Synch tour programme , Sting reveals that he loves Plainsong and Gregorian chant. That's one reason why he uses parallel fourths in his chord progressions!

@wplants9793 Hi and yes, i saw them on the Synch tour in Leeds, England. I can't remember a lot about it now. I do recall Sting wearing an all black version of the "rainbow" jacket and waiting outside the hall all day to get in! How about you, any Police or Sting encounters?

@alexwr Name ONE.
1
@alexwr Ok, I'll do some searching! thanks.

It was also multi tracked. Fretted and fretless playing the same part.
1
Ok, guess you know better than Sting then............
