@1ronin907 What does that have to do with anything? Of course it works both ways, but only IF high crimes or misdemeanors are involved, which is not the case here.

Elect clowns, expect a circus.

They already crossed the finish line. There's nowhere to go from here, because there was no crime to impeach over.

@GeneElder.R027 Beating Dear Leader senseless at the ballot box.

They can't even manage to send money to our allies in need. The Republican House is a complete laughing stock.

@rexxer2792 Not all public housing programs fail, but the failed ones always stick out in people's minds. The points is to learn from the mistakes and do better the next time.
1
@crispinfornoff206 Yeah, but that's because living in red states is so awful that the property values are low.

@rexxer2792 I wasn't talking about the ones you were talking about. There are currently 1.2 million Americans living in public housing of some type. It doesn't even need to be directly financed public housing though, it can also be tax incentives and other programs designed to encourage developers to build affordable housing, and/or to make existing housing more affordable for people. These sorts of public/private systems tend to be most effective. For example give a developer permission to build high value residential or retail projects, but only if they also build a certain amount of affordable housing. You do need to try and establish some amount of accountability in tenants though, so that criminals and drug addicts are not grouped with honest people.

Because then you would not know who to vote for, because you could not predict how the candidates would respond to problems. Parties give you some idea of what a politician is likely to do in the future.

@diluzo Yeah, but we live in the real world, not in some fantasy where that happens.
