You shouldn't, The Russians just say whatever they like, even if it makes no sense.
21
That's because there were no bus-sized drones in New Jersey. Or anywhere, really, they don't make any that big.
9
And yet, these Russian agents had millions of followers between them, so apparently not enough Americans are capable of thinking for themselves.
6
Is there some reason you shouldn't? If there is not evidence to back up these claims, then they would be defamatory, and the people involved could make millions off of it.
5
This is generally the rule, yes.
4
The issue is not that they were partisan, the issue is that they were funded by Russia.
4
@ComplicatedBot The US government made zero dollars off of this. It cost them money to do it, since they had to pay the salaries of all the employees involved. What are you even talking about?
3
@darthfader733 This story was about how the government shut down the sheep following sheep, and you seemed to object to them doing so. Wouldn't that put you in to "pro-sheep" camp?
3
@Supat2 But it is still the only chance most of humanity has of surviving the singularity. Corporations WILL win, the only chance of that not happening is a government strong enough to keep them in check, and motivated enough to court the will of the people to try. There are a million ways that could go wrong, but it's still the only way it could go right. So fight for the best possible government that is the most dependent on the public that we can make it.
3
Israel is not attacking America.
3
@michael-x2f5t Not for another few weeks.
2
@moniqueengleman873 Fox News?
2
@michael-x2f5t So you think Russia didn't do it? You're useful.
2
What does that have to do with lives lost?
2
Aside from all the other ones, who are actually pro-American. Lol, this would be like calling Tucker or Elon "pro-American."
2
@michael-x2f5t Nope.
2
@JulioBaggins Only among idiots though, so that's not really that big a problem.
2
Again? Must be a day that ends in "y."
2
Yeah, he was up to some really shady stuff.
2
@darthfader733 I don't watch Faux News, so I wouldn't know what they are up to.
2
@Supat2 If you believe that it's both sides, then they got you. The government is by the people, for the people, so long as the people elect the right people to lead it. It's the ONLY hope we have in fighting the corporations, so you'd better hope we choose correctly.
2
@eddieb1995 What do they have to do with anything?
2
@eddieb1995 That's zero times right there. Israel was not in one, and the other was an accident over 40 years ago.
2
To be fair, it's a better investment than current health insurance plans.
2
A flaming, bird strike.
1
@carlitos2k2 Yes it was, Russia just wants to pretend otherwise.
1
@Tailionis No, I mean Russia. There are a few others, but none as "opposite day" as Russia.
1
Right-wing hucksters sponsored by Russia. . . surprised Pikachu face?
1
@ComplicatedBot It was a direct response to your comment, that is not what "deflection" means, unless you mean "directed right back into my face."
1
Yeah, they never learn. They just keep sending money to Republicans.
1
@douglasrowland9986 That's not a relevant comment to the topic at hand. There is only one goose in this scenario.
1
@JulioBaggins Well, that's true, but there's not a lot that can be done about it. Idiots will continue to vote for the reds, we just have to outnumber them.
1
It's weird how "normal" it's become that Russia just owns the Republican party. We've gone from them being "cold warriors" to "well, as long as the check clears."
1
@darthfader733 I would prefer that people operate in a shared reality, whether that wake-up call comes from the government or private sector. So long as what the government is saying is TRUE, I see no reason to disregard it. People who would call something like this "Orwellian" would make Orwell vomit.
1
@darthfader733 He's not wrong though, it IS pretty sus to advocate for Russian psy-ops.
1
@darthfader733 What would you call it then? Russia attempted to spread misinformation to Americans. America caught them and shut that operation down. You seem to imply this is. . . bad? Somehow?
1
That's how the media works, if they get a story wrong, they correct it later. They weren't entirely wrong though, at the time it came out, they reported that they could not verify the contents and therefore it would be irresponsible to report on it until they could. Later, when it had been established that it was legitimate, they reported on it. I don't see how any of that was the incorrect action to take under the circumstances.
1
@Monsuco This whole story was about them attacking the US.
1
@omega1000-FU No they aren't.
1
@bluesrocker33 What do you think inflation has to do with any of this?
1
@eddieb1995 It was an accident, and more importantly happened over 50 years ago. Are you seriously trying to claim that we should consider Israel as bad as Russia, because they accidentally sank a ship 50 years ago? Russia has invaded an ally currently.
1
@Attmay Nah, that's not how anything works.
1
Then why would they be paying money to influences our dumber citizens?
1
@aljirou29 So let's say that there are two commentators, A and B. If a foreign government goes to one of them and says "spread our message and we will give you money," and they do change their message, then would you agree that is foreign interference?" Now what if instead, A was saying things against that country, while B was already saying things positive about that country, and so that country just gave loads of money to B, allowing them to improve the quality of their program and expand their reach over A. Would that be foreign interference?
1
He's going to say he didn't do it and Trump will believe him.
1
@KarenA-d2e There is no law that says felons in your family would in any way preclude you from working in the government. Who told you that?
1
@JoseRafael-oc3xu Republicans. They have nothing left.
