Also, if they contained defense information, that remains a crime whether they were classified or not. These are very serious crimes.

  15.  @basilihuoma5300  Is that what your script says? The media isn't reporting on crashes by "car brand," they are reporting on how a specific car technology seems to be doing a poor job. If, say, Ford had some new anti-lock brake mechanism, and it was directly responsible for an abnormally high number of crashes, you can bet the media would report on that, as is their job. Accidents happen every day, many more accidents than usual are occurring due to Tesla's particular brand of self-driving mechanism, and this does not appear to be happening at the same rate with other car companies.

  18.  @mxjame546  Most business people do not do this. They might do something similar to this, in much smaller degrees, but nothing this exaggerated and frequent. This is the problem. If there are other businesses you want to go after, then make that case, but two wrongs don't make a right.

  19.  @LyricsQuest  But domestic producers cannot have a competitive position in many other markets, so prices would rise considerably, and for no benefit. There's nothing particularly wrong with depending on imports, so long as you have an economy that does not rely on manufacturing. It doesn't put you at the mercy of any other countries, because if one country tried to play hardball, you could just shift to another, which would be much easier than building up a local industry around it.

  20.  @jammyy  That would depend on whether those goods are available in those countries. Many things are, and suppliers often go to them over China because they are already cheaper. Tariffs would change nothing there. The goods we still buy from China tend to be more "mid grade" stuff, not worth producing in the US, but too fancy to be produced in SE Asia and other countries. Sourcing those items from those countries would require significant investments in factories and training employees (though it would still be cheaper than making them in the US). "Make Vietnam great again," I guess?

  26.  @388easymoney5  I think you're confusing your facts there. Biden's situation began when his lawyers found some classified documents and they reported them to NARA. Then they volunteered to have the FBI search for any remaining ones. The documents he was talking with to his ghost writer he did not know were classified at that time, he just wasn't sure. Also, none of those documents were removed from a secure location. As the video pointed out, many were his own personal, hand written notes, they just contained information that was considered classified. Him being a Senator or VP at the time was no different than if he had been President, in so far as these relevant laws are concerned. And again, this is a crime that hundreds of people working on government technically violate to some degree every year, it's just the nature of doing business. Criminal prosecution comes down to the severity and willfullness of the crime itself.

And again, the manufacturing is not a knowhow issue, it is an infrastructure issue, you have to actually build these multi-billion dollar plants, and TSMC has, we have not. It's not that other countries can't do it, it's that they chose to not do it, because outsourcing that expensive process to TSMC made much more financial sense than building their own plants. That's the thing about free markets, they flow towards maximized efficiency, but often they get caught up in "best case scenarios," that if everything works as intended, here is the benefit we'd get, but if there are any disruptions to that plan, then it can pile up into massive problems, as we saw a few years back.

If Trump has billions, then you would need to hit him with a large fine for it to have an actual punitive effect. If the fine is small enough to laugh off, then what good does it do? People will just do the crime and pay the fine.

My point is that he is being called "the best engineer ever," and yet nobody can point to anything HE engineered, only to things that his company engineered.

Even if you took every single "irregularity" in the election, added them ALL together, put ALL of them in favor of one of the candidates, and put them all into a single swing state, it STILL wouldn't have added up to enough to switch the outcome.

  42.  @CityGamer1337  Also, you are wrong about mail-in voting. It's been around since the Civil War, and some states have been doing primarily mail-in voting for years. It only increased in 2020 because there were valid public health reasons why people did not want to go out in public at the time.
