The thing with Apple is that this is not a surprise. Hoeg Law went over some of their license agreements, and if you put your products on the App store, you get their payment processing for free, But you owe them 30% for any money you make on there, so basically they aren't claiming to get any money from their payment processing, the fees are just what you owe them for being on iOS. The payment processing is just a "convenient" way for them to collect that money with less hassle. :D I mean, you can disagree with that cut, but it's what they charge.
