@FollowJesusToday1 Someone explain capitalism to this guy, he thinks posters are free.

@thejuan_1999 Seeing pride crap is not unconstitutional because there's nothing in the Constitution about pride crap.
14
That's because you weren't paying attention.

They said they wanted to ensure that their citizens were being treated in a dignified manner, which they are not.
7
Unconscionable, at least.
4
@khornsbyone No, it's more often the people trying to get it put up who would do well to read it, because they are the ones least following it.
4
@Nola50 They really need to make it available to sue individual politicians rather than "the state." Suing the state just takes money out of taxpayers pockets, and the actual wrongdoers couldn't care less about that.
3
That's an unrelated topic.
2
@osm131 That would not be what "literally" means then.
2
@YankeeDoodle2 No, it's not a religion.
2
@michaelgentry402 And also in the Constitution, which was ratified.
2
@kateofone Not the Christian Jesus though, he taught the opposite of that.
1
@williamhutton2126 The only people who say "violently flipping tables" are money lenders. Nobody was harmed in his flipping of tables.
1
It is sharia law, this is what sharia law means.
1
@ Due process still applies either way. This is not due process.
1
@ Exactly. Due process.
1
What's the first commandment? Then what's the first amendment? You'll figure it out, I believe in you as much as you believe in ghosts.
1
@christopherbice862 Yup, it's really pretty clear, no elaboration needed. NO state involvement in religion.
1
@christopherbice862 It pretty clearly does say "no state involvement," "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" Placing the ten commandments in a government facility is establishing it as a state-sponsored religion.
1
@Cmunic8 Yeah, Maga often put their own false idol over the teachings of God, which is breaking the first amendment.
1
@FirstnameLastname-yc2mt Romans 13:9.
1
@wecanonlywish9194 But this is a secular country, prohibited from expressing religious faith in a government function.
1
@FirstnameLastname-yc2mt So if you think you're following the commandments, while failing to follow the golden rule, then you aren't following the commandments.
1
@wecanonlywish9194 Did you know that a great many Christians are rainbow flag holders? Even Jesus celebrates pride month.
1
@wecanonlywish9194 But the Chaplain of the Senate does not specifically promote any particular religion, and promotes many different religious traditions. This new law specifically mandates ONE religious tradition over others.
1
@wecanonlywish9194 What are you talking about? We are a secular society. Religious people of many denominations are a part of that society, but the society itself is secular.
1
@wecanonlywish9194 So gay people are exactly as sinful as straight people who have sex. Ok, I guess they can live with that. They're still Christians. As he said, "let ye who is without sin cast the first stone."
1
@wecanonlywish9194 So they would be no better or worse than straight people who have sex? I guess that's fine. Either way, a lot of them are just as Christian as you, and Jesus loves them just as much as He does you. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
1
@wecanonlywish9194 So they would be no better or worse than any other people who have sex? I guess that's fine. Either way, a lot of them are just as Christian as you, and Jesus loves them just as much as He does you.
1
@YankeeDoodle2 Ok, explain why you believe that, beyond just that you disagree with them and don't want them to do what you don't like?
1
@michaelgentry402 Bill of Rights, first amendment, first line. They literally made it the first thing.
1
@michaelgentry402 What do you believe it means to require a poster be placed in every government-run school that reads "Thou shalt have no other gods before [the Christian god]?," specifically? Is that not the government establishing that as the state religion? How else should one interpret that phrase?

When he comes back from the Inaugural address, someone needs to leave an engraved sign on the resolute desk, "That's Not How Anything Works." He needs to be reminded of that statement after every thought that dribbles through his brain.
