@michalooo3425 FYI, before 2014, euromaidan movement attendees, are still in it's infancy. Even the right wing groups are still small. In the battle of debaltseve back in 2015, ukr almost lost to the separatist, which caused Merkel to propose the Minsk, backed by France and others. If expansion is the goal, there's no reason for ru NOT to strike when ukr is at its weakest, but instead it agrees to a ceasefire agreement which ukr repeatedly fails to honor. I highly suggest you read some unbiased hiistory first before going "reee hez kremlen propegendeez" like a banshee

@jacksonfoxtrot nah. You're seeing things that aren't there due to your own visceral feeling towards him. We usually call these "delusions". Look, nobody likes war, but this is the most avoidable war of the 21st century. If he wanted to invade for the sake of expansion, he would have done so in 2014.

@nikos0-0mordyl39 national security concerns over ukr joining an alliance that seeks to destroy it and ukr unwillingness to seriously discuss the issue, plus the last 9 years of attack on ethnic minorities. There's a saying. When the diplomat stops talking, the cannon starts firing. Diplomatic attempts for the past 9 years have led them nowhere (and according to the people participating, have nothing but a ruse to prepare ukr for war. They said it themselves), and this is the result. 9 years of attempts of diplomatic solution is a lot of patience.

LegionnaireScout that analogy is absurd. The terms for peace is literally non-alignment, autonomy for separatist region (which is way better than what the separatist demands) and recognizes crimea as part of ru (the population does not support or recognize the euromaidan, and are pro-rus anyway). There's nothing about stealing stuff. You're using strawman to back an unconvincing argument.

@jacksonfoxtrot I can be in Antarctica for all I care, it doesn't change the fact that your opinion is not popular, even in Russia. Also the fact that you suddenly decided to use Russian (and a very 'google translatey' one at that) despite being able to speak English kinda shows your desperation for validation. Russian I know does not care about validation from the west. Kinda rich for "Jackson foxtrot" to be Russian too lol
