First it is a legitimate question, but then proceed to hint that what the belarusian government did is a very bad idea, despite the fact that the argument hinges completely on whether the nuke will actually be used, which it will not. So belarus will never be a party to the war. This means that we can conclude that it's not a bad idea, especially since it provides deterrence from the polish invasion while at the same time sends a message to UK.

  22. ​ @YYLiow  china had favored weak currency and had artificially kept it's currency weak for a long time now due to it's massive export oriented economy (there's more profit to be made on export with weak currency). We all have heard this hooblah about Chinese economic collapse fear mongering since before the evergrande housing crisis, none of it had turned out to be true. On the other hand, china is now taking over most of European exports like automobile due to it's competitive advantage with cheap resources and energy supply. Idk where you heard that Germany is taking over china, latest imf data shows the exact opposite. Ger economy is actually in recession and is greatly suffering from deindustrialization as well as farmer protest all over the nation.

Meanwhile no one has ever provided proof of the whole xinjiang thing. "Hundreds of labor camps" inside one province yet not a single photograph of said labor camp. Not even a satellite picture.

Is it proper for you to demand better accommodations than what your host can provide? Would it be proper for you skulking around the house at night and enter the host's daughters bedroom, regardless of your intention?   33. 1400? Where did you get that figure from? There's not even that many protesters in the first place. In moscow the turnout is only a few hundred people. In st Petersburg there's even less. The mobilization is partial, it won't include any of these protesters. 300.000 is a lot, but consider this: russia is a country with a population of over 100 million.

Russian economy is doing fine, while the west is crumbling. Russia has gained grounds, support for putin is at an all time high, dedollarization is ongoing, opec+ just cuts production by 2 million barrels, putting even more pressure on the west. Russian fiscal reports on energy exports are actually increasing significantly this year, compared to the peaceful ones last year. Overall look for russia is incredible, not only on energy security but also stable price for locally produced goods. While the west is struggling with energy cost and the cost of living as well as goods. If that's not winning, i dont know what is.

  35. while this is a nice idea to keep the plastic wastes contained in bricks, it will wear and tear over time. the plastic fragment inside will then become a plastic waste which will be on the soil it was on, and some will flow into the irrigation when it rains. which is against what the idea of the business is about. microplastics in water are already an issue in many of the countries, and this innovative bricks shouldn't add to the issue. i hope they have a solution for this.

  36. "civilian recruit" is an interesting way to spin it. They are reservists, meaning they had prior training that lasted 3-4 months at minimum. In russia it usually lasted a year or two. These are the memory refreshment training, not THE training. Interesting take by a taiwanese media that's backed by the US that used to post dogs and cat videos. I guess fleeing hong kong is not enough huh? Lol

Back during this era, zambia was blockaded by several western colonized neighbors, so zambia came to the US and asked them to build railways to help support the economy. They refused. Then they came to the brits, they too refused. And then they came to china. China during this time is facing its own difficulties, but they said "it's going to be difficult, but we'll do it" and so they mobilized their resources and people to build it. Even china has no such infrastructure, yet they are building one in zambia, when no advanced, financially capable rich western nation is willing to. 70 people died during the project, buried there and forever cherished by the zambians. They still tell this story to this day, a truly selfless act of distant neighbors who were willing to help others in time of need when they themselves struggled. And the people of the west are confused on why africa is pivoting to china who's "authoritarian and evil", when the belt and road initiative has lifted african economy by quite a margin, when the west hasn't build them anything.
