@crazylittlebigthings all allies in the region? There's only south korea, who's openly admitted that going into an open war with china is against its national interest. Who else? Japan? Its military is inadequate, and just like korea, it has no interest in an open war. Australia maybe? But it was pretty far and to be honest, it doesn't have enough strength to counter china in the region alone, not without forming a force with other allies first in which case it will already be too late to respond. Proximity matters, just as the ukrane war has shown. The west supplied nations worth of armory yet it is still incapable of resisting russian forces whose military is smaller compared to china. China can secure a supply line into the Philippines quickly while the west has to secure safe supply lines from distant places. China knows it has the advantage by being patient and letting the west be euphoric and make a ton of self-damaging mistakes in the process with all its sanctions and threats. The world literally dedollarizing right now and in a few years, it won't have enough money to fund overseas military bases.

@crazylittlebigthings nah, it's you who seem to have an unrealistic image of what an alliance is. every country pursue their own interest. this is facts. those that didn't, they're not a sovereign nation. japan is an economic alliance of the G7, yet it is buying russian gas above the determined price cap. a cap determined by the ALLIANCE.

@crazylittlebigthings japan agreed to the cap, this is why recently Japan was granted exception so it can purchase the oil above the cap. Seriously why would Japan need permission if it's not part of the cap? Lol you seriously has no idea how alliance work

@crazylittlebigthings "The Price Cap Coalition of the G7, the European Union and Australia have set caps on the price of seaborne Russian oil products, effective from 05 February 2023." FYI, Japan is part of the G7.

@crazylittlebigthings i think at this point you just don't want to admit you are wrong so you just keep replying with no-answer nonsense. Kinda sad really, you are just proving yourself to be uneducated with every reply, and no amount of emoji is going to make you right lol

@bsit9439 commenting with a different account does not make it right either. And as i said, it's "G7, the EU and Australia". Not just the EU, it is mutually agreed between G7, EU and Australia. Again, please explain why Japan needs permission to buy beyond the cap if it's not part of it?

@bsit9439 and I've never said that. I said "the G7, the EU, and Australia". I've never said the EU is part of the G7 even though some G7 country is part of the EU.
