It's not. The priest in question is a well known plst supporter, it's not hard to imagine what the perpetrator alignment to be.

@NeverEverMettle the practice has been largely abandoned today, even in Muslim majority nation like indonesia, malaysia, most of middle east, it is illegal to marry someone that is not yet an adult. As I said, this is an event happening hundreds of years ago. meanwhile in India people are marrying their 16y old daughter to dog (not a joke, look it up), and the issue in regards to the prophet they constantly complain about, is happening today in their turf.

@DogeickBateman He didn't say that, there's a sound at the end that was SAID to be that, but it's nothing but a case of pareidolia (I've listened over and over and there's no such thing) It's a similar case with that lady Gaga toad screaming video where people hear what they want to hear from random noises. The comment is littered with "possible sentences" and every one of them fits as long as you keep in mind the sentence you want to hear.

@LolMahato imagine judging age's past event with today's standards (an event which was common btw, even Christian french and English kings did it, there's an entire wikipedia page dedicated for it)

@NeverEverMettle 9000 is tiny compared to Indian 22%, a country of 1.4b

@NeverEverMettle you accused me of nitpicking when that's what you've been doing. You yourself agreed that there's non-adult marriage in malay, which are muslim majority, yet also points out that in India, a country of 1.4b, has more than 20% married before 18, a country with Muslim minority. What does this mean? It means that this is NOT an Islam-exclusive issue, yet that's what you've been insisting all along, nitpicking a minority case as if that represents the whole religion when it's not.

@aasthasingh7280 9000 is 0.2% of the 34 million population. Compare this to the 20% of indian massive 1.4b population, that would be more or less 220 million people. Not sure what you mean with "your tiny population" I don't live in Malaysia. In any case, you are simply proving my point more, and showing your own terrible math.

@aasthasingh7280 9000 out of 34 million is 0.2% of Malaysian population. 20% is more or less 220 million of 1.4b indian population. And you're questioning my math? Really?

@aasthasingh7280 here let me quote this from UNICEF "Child marriages are prevalent in India. Estimates vary widely between sources as to the extent and scale of child marriages. A 2015–2016 UNICEF report estimated that India's child marriage rate is 27%. The Census of India has counted and reported married women by age, with proportion of females in child marriage falling in each 10 year census period since 1981. In its 2001 census report, India stated zero married girls below the age of 10, 1.4 million married girls out of 59.2 million girls aged 10–14, and 11.3 million married girls out of 46.3 million girls aged 15–19." You're giving a fake number then asked me to do the maths. That's a strawman fallacy
