Many indians touted him as a competent diplomat, says he's in the same caliber as lavrov. I think that's a terrible comparison, people go out of their way to shake hand with lavrov, but not jaishankar (except when they have to). He's always comes off as rude and says a lot of things, which always amount to nothing. He likes to resort to whataboutism a lot, which says anything but competence. Diplomat build bridges, not destroy them. And you can't build bridges by either being rude, or ignorant. If he's competent and not attention seeking, he shouldn't have agreed to take this interview in the first place.
