  2. Russia pursue it's own interests, security in this case, just as ukr backers pursue an agenda to weaken it's adversary. There are no "good guys". They simply dealt less destruction throughout the world compared to ukr backers, and this happens in neighboring areas, not some nation in the middle of the desert it has no business being in. This is why rus got sympathy from many nations who were the victim of western agression.
