I still laugh when I recall Sasha Baron Cohen's character in the movie The Dictator, Colonel-General XYZ of the fictional country in North Africa called Wadiya when he said to a passers-by whom happened to be African-American, and he said "You there. The Sub-Saharan!"! It seems that South Africa post Apartheid was doing well under Mandela, until Mr. Shower prevents the transmission of HIV, Jacob Zuma's uber-corrupt administration took over and has since ran a country that had such potential to be a great country. sigh Peter seems more upbeat on S. Africa. I hope he is right.
