I was an Intelligence Analyst in the US Army Reserves(circa 1998-2006) who(m) was called to active duty for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi freedom, and I tried to get to the level that Mr. Zeihan is at and never got close, save for a couple of fleeting moments of brilliance! And, as far as I know, all of his information is derived from open source(non-classified) information. And despite having a TS/SCI security clearance only strengthens your point about his utterly brilliant analysis compared myself. It should be noted that in the field of Intelligence Analysis, a LOT of what we did was a best guess! I do appreciate the physicist's comment from his area of expertise.
