  1. For the first time in at least 20 years, there are more registered Republicans voting in the election than Democrats. I follow politics in the US fairly closely and the only point Peter did not make clear that he understood was just how much the baby boomers are beginning to not matter in the US elections. Personally, I thought that more people would think like myself and vote Libertarian, but I suppose that not everyone could be as enlightened as myself!
