  16. Reagon Communism looks great on paper but doesn't actually work in real life. But no one is discussing communism for the US What is being discussed is socialism which is a very different thing (hence why they have 2 separate names.) I live in Canada which has universal health care a solid old age retirement system clean air and clean water due to our environmental policies but people can still become wealthy under our system. I myself own a club and am doing very well for myself. I'm not rich by any means but I don't ever have to worry about not having enough food or if I want to take a trip I can easily. That is the system that the progessives are fighting for and can you tell me that it's not a better one. You pay your taxes so why the hell shouldn't that tax money go to benefit you and your family instead of being given to the super rich who won't ever spend it or for weapons to kill people in 3rd world countries that have never ever been a threat to you?

Private businesses work for things that people don't absolutely need like the latest iphone or an outfit you just have to have. But there are things that no one should ever profit off of and people's health is one of those things. No you are wrong about that. The rich pay 90% of the money not the actual percentage that's coming out of their paycheck. What is more money? 10% of a billion dollars or 40% of 100 000? Now who can afford to pay more the guy making a billion dollars or the guy making 35 000. Like I said I'm a business owner and making a very comfortable living so no I don't hate capitalism but it needs to be kept in check by government oversight. No I don't love Cuba or Venezuela. What I love is England, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Japan, Australia etc etc. All of those countries have the same system we do here in Canada and all of those countries are out producing out innovating and generally doing much much better than you are in the states. Facts don't lie your free market capitalist system has failed you time and time again.
