verified government id for websites is always a bad idea no matter who does it cuz it's prone to being hacked, it can be used by the government or site to track and possibly blackmail people or out them for watching those sites and what kind of porn they are watching. There is just so many things wrong with something like this.

that's what parental blocks are for. Leave it up to the parents to decide what their kids can and can't watch don't force it on everyone from the government.

@s4gviews no one is saying expose your kids to porn but there are better and less intrusive ways of doing that. What is the liberal line? Let people be people and if the adult in the room thinks it's ok for their child to see porn even if I may disagree with that it's their choice and they have to live with the consequences if they are wrong in their parenting strategy. Do you think maybe your alone in this because your wrong about this?

@s4gviews that just proves you don't know anything about government. The government is about providing for and protecting the populous that pays the taxes that will pay for those things. (like social services, health care, military, police, education. The list is massive) When the government starts controlling what we can and can't watch what we do with our bodies things like that it's called governmental overreach and that's not libertarian it's totalitarian and that is something the left will never go for. We want government to work for us not become the nanny state.
