When you tell criminals you're not going to prosecute them this is what happens......First it's petty larceny, then it's grand larceny, then robbery with no injury, then it's robbery with no discharge of weapon, then it's robbery with weapon but minor injury and on and on. - It grows out of control.

  4.  @manlysoutherner3696  When you repeatedly drop charges on lesser property crimes bad behavior escalates. There are no negative repercussions/punishments. Soon armed robbery will become more commonplace and dismissed/justified as socially warranted.
