  1. A phone generally costs less than a few hundred dollars. You can flip it closed and stuff it in your pocket. An EV costs about $50,000- and the home charger costs about $3,000(if you have a garage). And you can't stuff it in your pocket and travel with it.

  2. Yes the cheapest/slowest chargers start at around $400 or $500 but they go up to the $3,000 or $4,000 range quite easily. - Also installation and rewiring will cost you up to $1,500- plus. Do your research. (Btw no denials on the cost of the car or the portability of the charger I notice). Source: Electrify News 8/13/23.
