  1. M. Garland may be too 'old' now. Dems want someone under 40 - 45. The battle between the Left and Right is so pronounced that every single appointment helps 'their side'. Everyone is seen as a soldier. Everyone is a plant to lean one way or push for an agenda. It's pure unadulterated tribalism now, the gloves are off. It's a shame.
