  5.  @de6212  It was cold but icy hot with the Berlin Wall, etc.. It started during Truman's administration. A decision was made to surrender eastern Europe for many reasons. Patton and MacArthur wanted to fight on or threaten to fight on but they were overuled. Thus we had The Iron Curtain.
