  1. - If a defendant runs and hides from police/escapes he's not insane because he knows he did wrong and the nature of his actions. - If he stays at the scene and sings Jingle Bells waiting for the cops then he's probably insane.

  2. I have neither degree but if you run from a crime and try to escape it's because you know you did something very wrong therefor you're not legally insane. If you stay and sing Jingle Bells or Frosty the Snowman you're insane. Many people have a psychosis but they're not criminals.
