  1. Spain should be using the intermittent solar and wind to pump water back into the dams in the north and release the water to generate power at night or with increased load. This would act as a giant battery.

  2. This is the same loony logic that California is using to shut down the Diablo valley nuclear power plant while importing coal powered electricity from out of state.

  3. This is not unreasonable. Look at what the US did during the Cuban missile crisis. We do not want missiles next to our borders. But this does not mean we stand idle if Russia invades another country.
