  3. The SF transit center is a complete waste of money. As you pointed out, it does not connect with other transit systems. The better use of money would have been to have HSR terminate at the Diridon Station in San Jose where Amtrak connects with Caltrain. The tunnels for BART are being dug so it is a sure thing. The cities past San Jose would have increased service and anyone going to SF can transfer to Caltrain. East Bay could transfer to BART.
