Yang is not wrong about the wealth tax. A VAT is impossible to avoid and is paid at every level of a product or service production. Even Amazon pushed for a national tax years ago before the states threatened them with their respective sales tax.

The difference is Yang can articulate his position and why he supports what he does. Bernie uses a demagogue to rally support. It falls apart when he needs alliances to get things done.

@TCt83067695 Warren is confusing cash flow with wealth. They are not the same thing. It is fine for publicly traded companies, but 70% of businesses in America are small privately owned businesses. It is not unusual for some of them to be appraised for $50 million+ in assets. This does not mean they have mountains in cash lying around. Their cash is reinvested or set aside to cover payroll. These types of private businesses also do not want nor could sell partial ownership to cover a tax bill each year.

@summertime69 VAT is a flat tax at best. The rich will always spend more and get taxed. If you want to see a regressive tax, read how SSI is calculated.

@nicktolentino8250 Amazon paying $0 in federal taxes is misconstrued by every politician that does not understand tax law. The reason is they are using net operating losses from the past 20 years to offset current taxable income. GAAP accounting profits is not always the same as taxable income.
