Who do you think is going to pay taxes to fund your SSI benefits and other social benefits we enjoy? Who do you think starts the majority of startups and do research on the next generation of products? America has a huge technological edge over other countries because we steal their intellectual resources. This is why China and India are concerned and using incentives live lavish government research grants to lure their citizens back.

All of a sudden, they changed their tune and say reopening must happen. Some red states have been open since last year and schools in those states and in other countries have been open since Sept 2020. Newsom went so far as to move his own goal posts of his tier standards and reopened faster than what his health advisors recommended. All the while we were told covid is deadly, we are killing grandma and save even one life while he goes partying with lobbyists at the French Laundry restaurant.

If the United States are overwhelmed at the Southern Border with asylum seekers, why not have some of them apply for asylum in Canada so they don't have to suffer in camps in the desert? They ruled executive orders are legal. Now the precedent was set for Trump to use the same tactics. The Senate did the same shit when the Democrats eliminated the 60 vote filibuster rule to allow for a simple majority. Now it bit them in the ass in 2017 and 2020. Stop changing the rules.   69. CA refuses to enforce its own taxi medallion programs because the capital gains tax revenue from Uber and Lyft was too lucrative for the politicians to ignore. They threw their own taxi companies and drivers under the proverbial bus instead of following their own laws.
