I disagree with the overpopulation in the prison problem. I think we do not lock up enough people for the crimes they commit. The rationale for America's over incarceration comes from comparing prison populations per capita of other countries. The liberals spewing this lie do not account for cultural homogeneity, shaming criminals in society such as Switzerland and Japan where it leads to lower crime, arrests and incarceration. El Salvador recently arrested more criminals and crime went down. Finally, people are fleeing their home countries and coming to the US to escape persecution and attempt on their lives by criminals. This means the liberal benchmark of incarceration using other countries was too low. If a country follows the rule of law, you need to keep violent criminals in jail.
