Sorry Peter. But you are wrong on this one. Those "34 counts" are for the one transaction. Cohen admitted the amount paid that was recorded as legal expense was his salary that was also somehow a payment to Daniels for an affair that she admitted never happened on several occasions including to the Feds back in 2017. Being blackmailed is not a crime. Read the court transcript. The judge also instructed the jury that "beyond a reasonable doubt" was not necessary for a guilty verdict (huge red flag) and they did not need to agree on what the underlying crime is (needed to turn a misdeameaner into a felony) and to this day, that underlying crime has never been stated (another huge red flag).

I always wondered why the yen or the pound could not be a reserve currency. Thank you for explaining why export oriented countries would find it difficult.
22
The Trump verdict has certainly freaked out the NY business community. He just raised $35m in 24 hours and large sums are from business people concerned they could be prosecuted for bookkeeping errors.
20
"I don't need to learn to pronouce [Prigozyn] anymore" That was savage.
6
@MichaelJohnson-wk8tk What was the underlying crime that converted the misdeameaner into a felony? Do tell.
5
I would have thought Biden might suspend the Jones Act to help Maui rebuild cheaper and faster. No such luck.

@Mountain_Valley_Sky Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, Laura Boebert

It is in Stalinist Russia or Mao's China.
3
Maybe if Russia breaks apart by its provincial borders, companies will go back into Siberia. I would see it working on the Russian Far East where the Chinese and Japanese would throw bottomless cash to tap those resources.
3
Please give us an analysis on the Venezuelan gangs in US cities and potential war with US gangs.
3
The Ukraine war ends when Ukraine runs out of people.
2
And this is why the whole conversation of "fast tracking" Ukraine into NATO makes people think some shady dealings is going on.
2
In addition, SVB had many business accounts exceeding $250k. The FDIC would.not normally make whole the full amount but Biden announcing the bank will have all the deposits gave the markets pause.
2
This is the best weapons demonstration of the Patriot missile system ever. I bet Raytheon is salivating on the increase of future orders.
2
I doubt India will blockade anyone. They also need freedom of navigation for their energy needs. They also do not want China to arm Pakistan nor lob shells from the high ground in the Himalayas.
2
I love your content but sometimes your bias shows. Twitter "moderators" were left leaning propogandists. They could not even remove child porn since the company inception until Elon did it in a month. Do not get me started on their removing supposed "covid misinformation" and "Russian election interference".
2
Prigozhin is playing an all in game. He needs to overthrow Putin to win. He can not escape to another country if he loses. Nobody will want to provide him asylum. And Putin will.have him executed for his betrayal.
2
You mean to tell me North Korea has better reporting than China or Russia?
1
Forget NATO. Russians are Russia's worst enemy.
1
Why are we not recycling our spent rods? Only a fraction of the fissile material in the rod is used for power generation.
1
AC is not the issue. Our data use drives more energy consumption in the form of our computers, phones and especially the data centers. Bitcoin mining consumes 3% of the world's energy usage by itself. Kevin O Leary even mentioned NYC was a candidate for a data center because of its proximity to a reliable hydroelectric power source in Niagara Falls.
1
I have my suspicion that China is egging on Russia for the Ukraine war. The moment the Russians run out of men and gear, they will take the Russian Far East.
1
The other issue is the Panama Canal traffic has gone down due to drought so more traffic was being routed through the Suez Canal. These ass clowns making a mess in the Red Sea is going to drive up the cost of everything for everyone.
1
The Russians are their own worst enemy.
1
Holy shit! Peter Zeihan is familiar with anime to use Cowboy Bebop as an example of his analysis!
1
This has to be the NK testing their capabilites in a low risk environment as "Russian mercenaries". I will bet the Chinese are watching this with popcorn in hand.
1
No disagreement about Oz and Walker. Oz was horrible.
1
Argentina has been screwing up for a century. I will reserve judgement until they turn things around and make it stick.
1
@RishTheMan Those same RINOS are the ones who voted for Tony Gonzalez in Texas over Brandon Herrera so no loss.
1
Yeah, sure. "Accident". Just like Russia.
1
I thought NASA was running out of plutonium for their thermal generators for space probes. Isn't a constant steady supply of plutonium a good thing?
1
Please do not ruin cheese for me. I like funky boutique cheese.
1
The Russians do not need all of their nukes to work. They need only a few to work. And they have over 7,000 tries.
1
Zeihan described Chechnya like Yuri Orlov described his African warlord arms customer.

This is a primer for Laundering money for Dummies. Sign me up for vol 2.

What kind of online street cred does one get from posting secret documents on a gamer forum?
1
Those excess amounts of males need to emmigrate out of China or the amount of crime or revolts will skyrocket.
1
A nuclear war wiping out most of the human population will stop cocaine use.
1
I would think Europe would benefit from goods from Mexico. The question is if Mexico has the port facilities to accommodate the expected outflow of goods.
1
The coast is still embargoed by the Russians. I am not sure how Ukraine will be importing food en mass.
1
There are still instances where coal makes sense. Supply shocks of LNG to Japan and the EU could do it. US coal may burn differently but it is still easier to transport than LNG if both involves a cargo ship. I think exports would be the future of US coal and we should exploit this opportunity.
1
The South Koreans can do better. Poland has a license to produce the K1 domestically. They also purchased some from the South Koreans years ago. They can do a transfer right now if the Poles choose to with the South Koreans blessings and simply replace them with newer ones from the factory. The effects in the Ukraine war will be instantaneous.
1
You know Peter gets real when the F bombs come out.
1
I disagree with your assessment of Tucker's interview. It only reinforces my opinion that Putin is a slimy villian with his shifty answers. Letting people hear the lies with freedom of speech is the best medicine.
1
Gotta get more popcorn. This conflict is getting interesting.
1
Cuba is a tropical island sitting next to the Gulf of Mexico oil fields. They could not import solar panels from China, set up offshore wind farms or drill for oil? This is downright gross negligence.
1
It is funny because it is true. The Wagner group is more successful than the actual Russian military.
1
I expect a modern warlord scenario.
1
Been waiting for this. Time to break out the popcorn.
1
Russia has oil for days and they have to resort to using gold for barter. This situation has devolved into a Dilbert comic strip.
