  42. For the media that said the negative GDP was due to increase in imports, just look at the TEU coming into port. The number of containers is not affected by prices. The volumes are down for the containers coming into port. The number of containers going out as exports were down even more! The increase in imports was driver exclusively by prices and more specifically crude oil and semiconductors. It is NOT an increase in consumer demand.
