  1. I’m all for reparations - as much as possible for every single Briton. Since we, as a great nation, stood alone fighting reprehensible behaviour of certain African ‘countries’ and their slave owning residents and thousands of brave, loyal, patriotic Royal Navy sailors lost their lives acting as ‘police’ on the seas of the world, I praise their - and our - memories of righteous behaviour. What is the lost life of a sailor worth, some two hundred years after the inception of our worthy action as a nation? What sacrifices, both socially and financially did each and every Briton and member of the empire make, when they could have diverted their actions to the creation of even more wealth as a component of the greatest industrial power on the planet? What terrible suffering did Lancashire cotton workers endure during the period of the American Civil War? My ancestors were part of this stoic band of starving workers whose actions were felt across the ocean. A symbol of America’s gratitude, and that of President Lincoln, are to be found in Lincoln Square, Manchester. Therein stands a statue of President Lincoln with an inscription of his thanks on the plinth. Ever since the early nineteenth century, we have freely poured vast sums of money, huge resources and incredible sacrifice of life to suppress an evil, an evil still perpetrated to this very day by tinpot countries. There simply isn’t enough money on the planet to PAY US BRITISH reparations for OUR ENDEAVOURS. To discuss anything else is a total insult to intelligence and the memory of British ancestors who made enormous sacrifices. 👍🇬🇧👍🇮🇱👍🇬🇧👍🇮🇱👍🇬🇧👍
