  1. An amusing title - ‘’The Blob’. The 1958 film, Steve McQueen’s first major screen role, is so, so bad, it’s actually a good film to watch. Dimwit police and citizens ignore obvious facts and “don’t go down that path!” is reinterpreted as “wait until it’s dark and you can’t see where you’re going, then walk down the path”. Horror upon horror’s head, the Blob consumes all, even though it’s just a giant spoonful of raspberry jelly thrown onto a plate. Is this a parable for your discussion of, what is tantamount to, stupidity in the media? There’s a lot of it about.
