Clearly, YouTube simply can’t cope with the strength of feelings that this particular topic has initiated. If anything illustrates our dilemma (and I apologise to the professor), this rather dull, but highly relevant view of demographic catastrophe bodes ill for future Britons. Not so much a case of ‘things are going to get worse’, more a case of ‘is it conceivable that things can get even worse’?

  2. If a can brave the chill later today, I shall catch the bus into town and then, maybe, travel to see the Christmas (November!!🫣) Market in Manchester. One thing is GUARANTEED, the bus will be full and most will be shouting into their phones in foreign tongues. This happens every day, not just Sunday. One only has to look at the somewhat limited data published by the ONS in relation to the 2021 Census (assuming most completed the ‘form’ truthfully). Pick any northern town that was a thriving industrial town (in my living memory) including my home town of Bolton, make sure you are sat down with a strong cup of tea, or a large single malt, and ask yourself ‘WHY?’
