  1. Your observations are valued, Nigel, but does one have to follow anything religious or listen to any King’s speech to be patriotic? As an atheist and respector of our constitution, the King has an historic position in our democracy and sacred music is intrinsically moving and an adjunct to the soul. I, too, require standards to be maintained in both style and content. Perhaps the fact that the hideous BBC is involved in any way with the King’s broadcast should explain EVERYTHING.
