That's how the ancient Greeks realized Earth was not flat, in 500 BC. We can use tools to measure Earth's curvature (geodetic survey). NASA, other space agencies, commercial space companies, and anyone who can get a balloon with a camera to 10 km altitude just provide confirmation of what we've known for centuries: Earth is a sphere.
