They are engineers, accustomed to giving exact information and serious, unemotional flight reviews.

They were professionals.
5
Neil walked on the moon. He was an engineer, not an entertainer.
5
@SelwynRewes The Apollo missions are real. This is proven by a mountain of evidence.
4
Neil Armstrong has always been uncomfortable being in the public eye. I suspect he's not neurotypical, like many people with extreme intelligence.
4
They weren't tense, they were tired after quarantine and debriefings.
4
Why would we imagine that? the landings are real.

@AutismusMaximus1 Anyone can verify that the Apollo landings are real. For example: All of the Apollo photos show a single light source, very far away. This proves they were not made in a studio. The photos show shadows with a hard edge, which indicates they're not in our atmosphere, but in a vacuum. This proves they were not made in an open-air studio on Earth. All of the Apollo videos show objects falling at an acceleration of 1.6 m/s2, not the 9.8 m/s2 you get here on Earth. This indicates they're not in Earth's gravitational field, but on the moon.

They're test pilots. They're calm and focused.
3
You didn't just hear it on the radio. We have tons of evidence for the Apollo missions from multiple independent sources.
3
Well, they didn't have to pretend, they did walk on the moon.
3
@davidguy7335 No, Earth does not "spin at 66,000 mph". It orbits the sun at roughly that speed. But that speed is completely irrelevant: the entire Earth-Moon system moves at that speed, and do do any spacecraft you launch. The only things you have to account for is the difference in speed and direction between Earth and the moon. And that difference is easily measured (just look where the moon is in the sky) and completely predictable (because the moon is in a fixed orbit around the Earth).
3
@davidguy7335 Wrong again. Roads and bridges are not flat. They follow Earth's curvature. Buildings are built on a foundation for which a reference plane is established. The ground outside curves along the edges of the building.
3
Elon Musk says he needs the equivalent of 8 rockets of fuel to land his Starship, which weighs 100 tons empty and carries 100 tons of payload. The Apollo LM weighed only 8 tons by the time it landed. The less weight you land, the less fuel you need.
3
The evidence says otherwise.
3
They are telling the truth. This is proven by tons of evidence.
3
During the approach to the moon, the Lunar Module could transmit either telemetry or a TV signal, but not both. The decision was taken to transmit telemetry. The only TV camera on the LM was in a compartment on the descent stage, where it would be in position to view the ladder, so they could show the astronauts coming down the ladder. So during the descent, no TV coverage was possible. After the landing, the astronauts took a while to organize themselves for the EVA, and TV coverage started with the start of the EVA.
3
No.
3
People who claim the moon landings were faked have not "woken up". They have been deceived by charlatans. I've looked into the arguments used by those charlatans, and they all fall apart.
2
@davidguy7335 Yes, they were able to communicate clearly, after spending hundreds of millions on building extremely large antennas all over the world to send and receive signals to/from the Apollo spacecraft.
2
@davidguy7335 20,000 satellites in orbit prove there is no firmament.
2
@davidguy7335 Airplanes use an altimeter to fly at a constant altitude. This constant altitude is a circle around our planet, at a constant height above the surface of our spherical world.
2
None of that is even remotely correct.
2
The Apollo crews produced 19,000 photos, dozens of 16mm films, and hours of live TV. None of those are lost. The only 'lost' footage is one copy of one broadcast: we have many copies remaining of that broadcast.
2
Reality.
2
@charlesferreira3597 Simple measurements prove Earth is not flat. 20,000 satellites orbit our planet, proving spaceflight is real.
2
The Apollo landings remain real. Tons of evidence confirm this.
1
@AutismusMaximus1 You mean, the fake "confession" from a mockumentary, by an actor who doesn't even look like Kubrick? Great bit of "evidence" there, pal.
1
@ I just follow the evidence. And I've checked the claims made by the moon landing deniers: none of those claims are valid.
1
@ The Apollo missions are real. This is proven by tons of evidence. You have nothing.
1
@MissMystique187 In 50 years, nobody has presented a single shred of evidence that shows any of the Apollo landings was faked, much less all of them. All the deniers ever come up with is contrived 'arguments' that turn out to be baseless.
1
How embarrassing that you think the Apollo landings were faked, when there is so much evidence that proves you wrong.
1
@davidguy7335 We see the same constellations all of our lives, because we move in a circle with a radius of only 150 million km at 66,000 mph. That radius is tiny compared to the distance to the stars. We see evidence of this movement: the constellations closer to the equator are only visible for part of the year. And the stars closest to us have apparent movement due to parallax.
1
@davidguy7335 Simple measurements that anyone can do, prove Earth's surface is curved, not flat. And that's just one of many ways to prove Earth's shape. There's an entire branch of science (i.e. looking for verifiable evidence) that investigates Earth's shape: geodesy. In the 2500 years since the first people started to apply the scientific method to Earth's shape, every measurement, experiment and observation we've ever done shows Earth is spherical, not flat.
1
They did land on the moon. There are no tools to "fake it", then or now. For example, the Apollo rock samples are different from any rock found on Earth. The Apollo videos show they're in 1/6 g gravity, not the 1 g we have here on Earth. No movie ever gets this right, because it's impossible to fake 1/6 g convincingly. Apollo was the most expensive engineering project in history. It cost $300 billion. After Apollo, the US government was unwilling to spend that much on a return to the moon.
1
Tons of evidence prove the Apollo landings are real.
1
Moon landing denial is as dumb as ever.
1
The focus was on reusable rockets: the Space Shuttle. Unfortunately the path NASA ended up choosing was so technologically complex that it was barely within the financial means of the organization, and things like the SRBs were done as a cheap-to-develop interim solution because the proposals for e.g. boosters that could fly back to the Cape and land as aircraft were too expensive to develop.
1
The Apollo missions are real, as proven by tons of evidence. In 50 years nobody has presented a single shred of evidence that the Apollo missions were faked.
