  2. 1. They used film designed for low-pressure environments. This reduced the outgassing by a lot. 2. The Apollo flight films were exposed to vacuum for no more than 24 hours. 3. The films were tested beforehand, and the quality reduction by outgassing and radiation was measured and mitigations found. The quality reduction was mostly in the form of a reduction in dynamic range. The film they used had so much dynamic range that this reduction was tolerable.
