  1. it'll be several hours of observation time. Multiple planets could be observed at once if the stars are close enough that they fit into the field of view of the instrument. There are about 5000 known exoplanets, and only the closest ones can be surveyed this way.

  4. We've already explored all of those in more detail than JWST can. Anything obvious enough for JWST to pick up we'd have seen by now.
