1. the ozone layer has nothing to do with global warming. 2. rockets don't poke holes in the ozone layer. 3. The space industry is tiny compared to e.g. aviation. You'd have to increase the number of launches by a factor of 1 million to make a noticeable contribution to global warming.

You need a really low average density for that to work (see Inflatable Reentry Vehicle Experiment).

@ronaldgarrison8478 NASA did some tests with inflatable structures launched on a sounding rocket. The idea is to have a capsule, with an inflatable structure to increase its surface area during reentry. There are some scientific papers that describe the results, you should be able to find them using the experiment name.

Hybrids are really good when the load is variable. Most rocket engines run flat-out the entire time, and in that regime it's more efficient to drive the turbine directly.
