He's center left because when it comes to finances he's fiscally conservative but when it comes to social issues he's liberal. Bernie is a capitalist so he doesn't want to end capitalism he just wants to expand social welfare programs and raise minimum wages to $15/hr so he's far from a Marxist. He's a jewish millionaire and most orthodox jews are financially conservative when it's about money.

  2.  @Humanistic_  Bernie isn't talking about ending capitalism that would crash the economy and would be fiscally irresponsible. He's just proposing that minimum wage gets raised to $15/hr and expanding welfare programs thats it. $15/hr can get you a nice sized refrigerator box on the side of the freeway in NY and L.A. So what bernie should be advocating for is cost of living adjustments depending on where you live in the country that would make more sense.

Instead of bernie advocating for $15/hr he should be proposing to have a cost of living adjustments bill for workers depending on where they live in the country because in NY and L.A. $15/hr isn't gonna cut it especially with gentrification happening in those area where the properties are constantly becoming more expensive.

Sounds familiar with the situation with 9/11 when bush was warned that the Saudis were gonna attack us and allowed it to happen just so we could go into Iraq. Ppl have to actually start paying attention to history because it drastically repeats itself. Ppl are only reminiscing about his new deal which would've never happened if we hadn't gone into bankruptcy because of ww1 which lead to the crash of 1929. Ppl don't understand that an economic new deal can't be implemented unless the economy crashes which also happened in 2007. Then Obama bailed out the banks instead of helping the poor. So when ppl like Bernie and AOC start quoting lines about FDR they only tell half truths and they do it intentionally.

How can you spite the U.S. government for the wars that we were involved in throughout history but when it comes to him all of a sudden you want to claim that it wasn't his fault? Yes the new deal was a great accomplishment but that new deal ONLY happen because of the economic crash of 1929 stemming from ww1. Yes the military industrial complex was a thing even back then so why have any doubt that he knew what was gonna happen and did nothing to prevent the attack from happening.

  25.  Andy M  that's true the system will pretty much stay the same because the corporations will benefit the most when bernie expands the social welfare programs thats less money that the corporations have to spend. If the government is giving the ppl free healthcare then the corporations don't have to provide it for them. If the corporations pay more minimum wage then all ppl are gonna do is buy more stuff in which the corporations make more profit. The word minimum just means least possible amount so idk why ppl are so excited about it. Ppl like jeff bezos love welfare programs because it means he has to provide next to nothing for his workers. FDR said that his greatest achievement was saving capitalism and he did it with welfare by giving the poor more money to spend and other government assistance that mega corporations wouldn't have to pay for.
