  2. What I mean is that I lived THIS SITUATION TOO! I live in italy, our unions were far more active and strong than yours in the UK. They protested, they whined, they rebelled, they occupied the industries. You think thing changed? Yeah SOMETIMES they "won" and the STATE intervened PAYING the industry to keep working on a NEGATIVE BALANCE but complemented by STATE FUNDS. That worked for some years. But guess what..the State will not keep giving out CHARITY forever and eventually the industries closed anyway. Ergo, that CITY need to change its economy anyway. It cannot work forever as that. It cannot be dependent from that single industrial complex. I say we divert some money from the stupid Immigration Funding to these situation and to REFORM the local economy. But I guess Uk citizens have less rights than self-proclaimed "refugees".

"infrastructures"..how is a new train line gonna fix ANYTHING? Stop living in wonderland. We need less taxes and people need to shift from the manifacture sector to the SERVICE sector. Manifactur is DEAD deal with it.
